Ireland, two years from tomorrow, and one cop who works for the Vichy-style Ministry of Reason has a grim order: crush the only resistance to the aliens who now control most of our world. If he succeeds, then our last chance of freedom may die, but if he fails what will be the cost to humanity for victory?

Well, the time has come. Victory? goes online in 14 days. Over the next two weeks, we will be building up the excitement as the first episode approaches, by delving further into the universe and world of Victory?. We'll have regular updates dropping hints towards the fall of mankind, propaganda campaigns by both the Ministry of Reason and what remains of free humanity, but we also expect you to join the fight at VictoryShow.net, by joining in via Twitter and Facebook. We give you the choice: will your words join that of the resistance or will you join the order of The Ministry. You can argue each side's view; we'll leave it up to you to decide... but the most important thing to do is to spread the word -  tell your friends, your family, and your colleagues to spread the word that Victory? is coming... Tell them to get on their computers and vote for Victory? between the 13th and the 19th of February, because if you want homegrown Irish science fiction to succeed... now is your chance!

So what are you waiting for? Join the Fight today and prepare for VICTORY!

UPDATE: It looks like the RTÉ StoryLand page has just gone live with the trailer! :D

Something Is Coming 3: Something Is Here - And It Is Called "VICTORY?"

Phew. Can I breathe now? We've been going blue here at The Towers, trying to hold our breaths as we waited to tell you the exciting news! And now we can....

Ministry of Reason Poster 1

VICTORY? is here. Written and created by regular Octocon guest John Vaughan, and commissioned by RTÉ as part of the Storyland 2012 project, this is the first time Ireland's national broadcaster has commissioned a drama about the invasion of Earth.

It is two years from tomorrow, and the majority of the Earth has been conquered by the Alliance, a confederation of Alien Worlds. While a few countries fight on, most have chosen survival through surrender. VICTORY? is the story of Inspector Doyle, an officer of the Ministry of Reason (the vichy-style government that now runs the country), as he hunts down the resistance movement that calls itself Victory. But, as the hunt continues, Doyle must ask himself a grim question: should he serve a system he never truly believed in, or join a resistance movement that stands little chance of Victory?

But VICTORY? will need your help. Each webisode will be voted on through Facebook, with the shows with the least votes being eliminated. So if you want to see what happens next, (will Victory triumph? Will the Alliance prevail?) then you have to watch and vote. Over the next few weeks, we'll be covering the making of the first episode, with interviews and exclusive photos, trailers and propaganda broadcasts, both from the resistance, and the Alliance. We'll be telling you where to go online to follow VICTORY?, and you can be part of the rebellion, too! With exclusive internet content, you'll have the ability to continue the fight online. Will you join the Resistance or do you believe in The Alliance? Only you can decide. Until then ...

You want Victory? Well you're going to get it!
